Christian Worship Centre functions through a number of ministries.
FIREBRAND
This is the evangelistic arm of the church, reaching out to the community through preaching of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. City outreach olds every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.
PRAYER
The prayer group is the life-blood of the church, existing to bring the needs of the church, community, individuals and the entire society to God for intervention. Our Night Vigils hold on the last Friday of every month in an announced location.
TRIUMPHANT WOMEN
This is the umbrella body of women in the church and it is outreach focused. The main aim of this ministry is to cater for the welfare and needs of women not just in the church but in the society. The Triumphant Women hold meetings every month in order to identify needs that should be met in the church and among women. New female members of the church are encouraged to join the Triumphant Women to maximise and fulfil themselves.
KIDSTUFF
The children’s ministry exists to take care of the children during services and also outside services hours. The welfare of the children is the concern of the church especially the children’s department. Kids are placed in classes during the sermon to enable parents concentrate. In return the kids also benefit from bible stories using TV media, writing, colouring, story times and play times.
NEW GENERATION (NEWGEN)
CWC has an effective campus outreach in Leicester. We do organise programmes for people on campus. Each year there is a special outreach to the university during the fresher’s fair on or around September/October. We also organise a special church service for new students in October. This is aimed at introducing them to life on campus and how to cope with daily issues they might encounter. Current students often take care of planning this programme and also talk with new students one on one with the aim of finding areas they can help out.
ADRENALINE
The Youth Ministry is meant for people between 14 and 28 years old who are not married (or who are married but have a special passion to work in this area).
TRIMEN
Men’s fellowship, just like the Women’s Ministry exist to mobilise the MEN to take care of the needs of the church. Primarily, the fellowship aims to make men better people in their families. People able to take charge of their circumstances and able also to change their society for God. Every man in CWC is encouraged to join the Men’s Fellowship to make a difference.
THE PRIDE
The Pride is the music arm of the church. It takes charge of the worship in church. Some of the activities they organise include WHY WE WORSHIP, a worship and praise event which aims at bringing churches, and people together in Leicester for a glorious time of worshipping and praising God. It is an annual event. The Pride often enlists members of other choirs for this event.
HIGH-TECH
High-Tech is the technical department of the church, taking care of sound, electronic and electrical systems.
LIVE STREAM
This is the video and television outreach ministry in charge of producing broadcast products for the church.
USHERS/SANCTUARY CARE
The ushers are gifted in making you feel at home while in our service. They are always ready to assist you, provide information and help with anything you require. The sanctuary care ensure that the venue is prepared and decorated for your comfort.
